Open Mouth …

Florida State’s football coach Bobby Bowden has a veritable knack for scratching his tonsils with his toes. Remeber, this was the guy who decided his team’s battle cry should be “Let’s Roll,” an obvious exploitation of the passengers of United Flight 93. In his latest act of Bubba ignorance, he’s likened the Notre Dame football team to serial killers.

Bowden was praising Notre Dame (8-0) for creating decisive turnovers in most of its victories this season. The Irish took advantage of four Florida State turnovers in their 34-24 victory Saturday.

”They work on it, they force them,” Bowden said during his news conference after the game. ”That’s the way they beat everybody.

”So, just count us in the club. We’re in a club. They’re serial killers. They kill everybody the same way. No change.”

At what point does the line between motivation and dignity completely break down? Apparently somewhere north of Tallahassee.
