The developers have made some very nice improvements to the GUI since the last version I looked at. Among them are an audible notification when a new network is found. With the weather in the 60s and the sun shining, I’m heading out through downtown Iowa City this afternoon on a little war walk. I just find it hard to believe that there are only four hotspots in town.
And, in that spirit, you’ll find a new addition to Frankly - an 802.11 hotspot finder from 802.11Hotspots. To the right and down …

I accidentally found myself on a war-drive yesterday. I was on the way to a friends house and was bringing my laptop.. it was only 15 mins away so i saw no reason to turn the system off.. and i had left my wifi card plugged in cuz i was gonna use it when i got onto the Unveristy campus. I ended up finding two (!) networks before i got there.. i had no idea there was that many in central Arkansas
