Excellent AJAX
October 6th, 2005 | by Tony Steidler-Dennison |I’m sure you’ve noticed the calendar in the right sidebar of CodeMode. What you probably didn’t notice is that it’s a great little AJAX-based plugin for WordPress, the LiveCalendar plugin. AJAX makes it possible to reload the calendar without reloading the entire page. It also picked up all the entries on the site, making the full CodeMode/Frankly archive available with just a few simple clicks. I love the fact that I can pick a year from the calendar and see all the entries for the current month. Implementation took less than five minutes. It’s very, very nicely done.
If you’re looking for a useful calendar plugin for your WordPress blog, you can’t do better than LiveCalendar.
