Three Days
March 31st, 2006 | by Tony Steidler-Dennison |It’s only three days away …
nbc4i.com - MLB - St. Louis Cardinals 2006 Preview
The National League crown, and maybe even the World Series, is St. Louis’ to lose. The team will almost certainly turn in another 100-plus win campaign and should run away with the Roger Clemens-less Central Division.
The team has no question marks heading into the season along with no major glaring weaknesses. St. Louis did a good job in replacing its departed outfielders but an injury to Edmonds would make the road to the World Series a little bumpier.
What can one expect from the Cardinals in 2006? Well, St. Louis’ new home is a perfect analogy for the upcoming season. Its a new stadium, but it will bear the same name as the old one. Same thing with the Cardinals that will be on that field; new Faces, same results.
162 games to October. It all looks great in the three days before the opener.

-Yep. They most likely will get the division, but the NL Pennant will, in all likelyhood end up about 800 mile W/NW of the big A.
