Finally Live

December 27th, 2006 | by Tony Steidler-Dennison |

After months of empty promises, The Roadhouse will finally go live on January 2. It will stream from The Little Blue House on the Wetlands at 10:00 pm CT, Tuesday nights, on TPXRadio.com. I did some testing last night. In fact, I couldn’t stop - I did two full test shows, playing until well into the early morning hours. The live chops aren’t quite yet there, but I’ll have them back by Tuesday.

As I’ve noted before, any music in the catalog is fair game for The Roadhouse Live. TPXRadio is paying the licensing fees and, since it’s streaming, I don’t need to worry about permissions from the labels. My blues catalog continues to grow, sitting at around 4,500 songs. And, it’s all available for The Roadhouse Live.

I originally did The Roadhouse Podcast in a live format, but moved to an edited version to tighten things up. The Roadhouse Live will be a bit more loose, but at least as much fun to do. Tune in on Tuesday evenings. I hope it’ll be as much fun to listen to as it will be to produce.

Update: Due to some other scheduling, the live webcast of The Roadhouse is now scheduled for Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM CT.
