Hanged

Saddam’s been executed. It’s odd to realize that he’s dead, though I certainly won’t shed any tears. He’s been such a focus of the news in the US for so many years that it was hard to imagine the execution would ever actually take place.

I think this finishes the real mission of the Bush administration in Iraq. I don’t have much doubt that this was first and foremost a revenge war. Junior has avenged the villification and hunting of the father, with true Texas-style justice. How will the war play out from here?
