UK goes gaga after iPhone price drop

So it looks like the decision to cut the price of the 8GB iPhone in the UK was a smart idea.

Reports indicate the 8GB models are selling out quickly at the major stores in Britain. The 16GB model’s price has not changed, and it’s clear that price must be an issue because the smaller version is getting all the loving.

Any UK customers out there take the plunge based on this deal? Any current customers buy another iPhone just to take advantage?

What’s interesting to me is that there’s no sign that the rumored 3G version is affecting sales in any way.
